UPCOMING EVENTS
Aug. 8 Next Sunday, Aug . 8 , during our worship service , we will have a ``Celebration Sunday'' in which we officially merge our two congre ga-
tion s (Pleasant Oaks and First Mennonite) into one new congregation. The two old corporations have been dissolved and we now have the legal papers to verify our merger into one new entity. Our theme for the morn - ing will be ``And the Two Became One . '' We will celebrate communion together and we will have a symbolic event in which we will all sign our names on a piece of paper that will be put in to a container. This container that holds the names will be put into a larger container into which we will pour sand. Everyone will have the opportunity to pour a little sand into the larger container. This will be a wonderful symbol of the merger of
our churches and our lives together. Come and celebrate!
